Roasted Butter Chicken

  • 1 Sadia Whole Chickens cut in half
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 x 350g jar Butter Chicken simmer sauce
  • Coriander leaves, to garnish
  • Yoghurt, to serve


  • Make several slashes along the surface of the Sadia Half Chickens and place in a large non-metallic baking dish. Combine the garlic and ginger and massage well into the skin of the chickens. Pour over the Butter Chicken simmer sauce, cover and refrigerate for 3 hours. Remove 20 minutes before cooking.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the chicken for 50-55 minutes, until cooked through.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice, if desired, and the yoghurt on the side.
